Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) data reveals 2019 holds the record for the lowest rainfall in April for the past quarter century with not a drop of rain recorded at Dubbo City Regional Airport.
In contrast, the BoM reported on Tuesday morning of 74.4mm falling in Dubbo this month, including a downpour of 63.6mm of rain in the 24 hours to 9am April 4.

But rain has mostly stayed away since April 6, except for the 0.8mm which fell at the start of this week.
Average rainfall in Dubbo in the month of April is 31.4mm.
The forecast rain may be escorted by below-average temperatures.
Average minimum and maximum temperatures in the city in April are 10.4 and 25 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday the BoM was predicting a temperature range on Thursday of nine to 16 degrees, Friday five to 10, Saturday three to 12, Sunday four to 15, and Monday five to 17.
