There's few who know the game better, but the recent period of racing and the hardship which has faced so many is unlike anything he's seen before.
Drought, bushfires, and floods have all been experienced across the state and have had a major impact on racing and communities in general.
The coronavirus pandemic is the latest to threaten and it's had a major impact on racing in regional areas.
Many meetings have been abandoned, with restrictions around social distancing meaning no members of the public are allowed to attend.
Narromine Turf Club's annual Diggers Cup meeting will be held behind closed doors on Monday but Robb will be there, aiming to claim the feature again to put some smiles on faces.
"I'm 65, never seen it tougher out here but we'll get through this like we did the fires and floods - we've got a cup on and no better track in the bush than Narromine, love racing here," the Nyngan trainer told Racing NSW.

Robb will have stalwart of the cup scene A Magic Zariz contest Monday's $20,000, 1300m feature.
A Magic Zariz, who won a number of cups for previous trainer Cecil Hodgson, is the topweight with 61kg and drew barrier 13.
"Clayton Gallagher rides the old fella," Robb said.
"Only just got beaten in the cups at Scone (Quirindi Cup) and Gilgandra; harder races I reckon. I've kept him fresh for this and he's used to the big weights."
A Magic Zariz has had five starts for Robb following the retirement of Hodgson and the second-place finishes at Gilgandra and Scone have been the best results.
He finished fourth in the Outback Cup at Broken Hill last start but he has proven results at Narromine, with his last win for Hodgson coming in an open class race there in 2018.
Robb had also nominated Supreme Attraction but he raced in Saturday's $80,000 Soldier's Saddle at Bathurst instead, finishing 11th.
Robb highlighted Jetgirl and Sneak Preview as the main dangers on Monday.
Trained at Bathurst by Dean Mirfin, Jetgirl will make a step up in distance at Narromine while the Kody Nestor-trained Sneak Preview is making a first start since running 10th in the Country Championships Final at Randwick.
Sneak Preview had also been an emergency for Sunday's $160,000 Tamworth Cup.
As well as the Diggers Cup, the Narromine USMC Gallipoli Class 3 Handicap (1100m) is also certain to draw attention.
The sprint will feature the likes of Good Time Charlie from the Dubbo stables of Clint Lundholm and the Brett Thompson-trained pair Northern Lights and Deviate.
Following record acceptances there is nine races on the card at Narromine on Monday with the first jumping at 12.10pm.
