"We need you to listen to and obey the minister's health directions. We need you to stay at home, don't go out. Don't be anywhere you don't need to be," he said.

"Youth are not indestructible at this time, I can tell you now and the fact they could carry that virus, not even know it and affect other people, it's really important they get the message.
"We now have on the spot fines. We are giving people $1,000 infringements if they break the law. We are not giving them to people that genuinely make a mistake. If people cannot understand by now that they cannot be out in groups for a purpose that is not legitimate, then you will be find by police. If you breach isolation, you will be fined.
"Let's work together to suppress the virus."
