The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Dubbo Regional Council Local Government Area (LGA) area remained stable at six on Thursday.

There were 38 in the Western NSW Local Health District, one more than Wednesday.

On Thursday a health district spokeswoman advised of the number of confirmed cases in the Orange City LGA rising from eight to nine.
On Wednesday a woman in her sixties died in Orange Hospital from complications arising from the coronavirus.
As of Thursday, Bathurst and Orange each had nine confirmed cases, the highest number in the health district.
Other LGAs with confirmed cases included Mid-Western Regional with four, Blayney three and Cabonne two.
Coonamble, Narromine, Warren, Warrumbungle and Weddin each had one confirmed case.
The spokeswoman said seven people had recovered from the coronavirus.
She said it was critical "everyone in all our local communities" continued to practice social distancing to minimise the risk of the transmission of COVID-19.
"This is important for everyone, but particularly for older people and people with health conditions that make them more vulnerable," she said.
"It's also important that we protect our healthcare workers who we need to stay well to provide care to people who become sick with COVID-19.
