But even more so, over the past few week this balance is being blurred more and more.
For many employees we get up, we go to an office or shop, we work, we go home, on any given day of the week.
Sure you may check your emails, or take a work phone call or two outside of those work hours but most of the time life can be kept relatively separate.
Now, things are starting to invade.

Our home lives have become our work lives and vice versa.
Our co-workers are our husbands, our kids, our parents and our pets. Those we want to keep separate from our work have suddenly been thrust into it - though no fault or change of our own.
We are being 'trapped', for want of a better word, inside the same four walls, day-in, day-out.
We aren't saying we can't step outside - because we can, there is nothing yet stopping a bit of exercise or just feeling the sun (or rain) on your face. But mostly the scenery isn't changing that much.
And we don't know how long it's going to last.
So, a couple of reminders, as we all try and stay sane in our own homes together.
Don't forget to give yourself a bit of time. Time away from your new work desk, time away from the phone, and time away from social media.
It's still important to have time with your family and your friends - even if that time looks a little different this week than it did a few weeks ago.
Make sure you get out of the house - sit on your back veranda, enjoy a walk around the neighborhood (make sure you practice social distancing at all times).
And maybe try and enjoy those few extra minutes you get when you were once sitting in your car on the way to your office.
