The Dubbo author's first book, Always Louisa, is on sale at the Book Connection in Dubbo, and through Amazon and Kobo.
Mrs Boog, who writes under the nom de plume Joanne Austen Brown, has forged a new career after working for many years as the practice manager at her husband Andrew's law firm.
Quitting her job and concentrating on a lifetime goal of becoming an author has made Mrs Boog, 62, "really happy".

"Not working has freed me up to write," she said.
"Some days are really good and I can get up to 7000 words out.
"Other days it might be only a couple of hundred but at least I'm still at it."
Always Louisa is the first in Mrs Boog's three-book Always series in the genre of "historical romance with murder mystery".
She is currently writing the second book in the series, Always Elspeth, which will be followed by Always Delia.
The books will be standalone despite sharing "some characters".
At the end of 2020 the mother of two and grandmother of four will release the first book in another series called Come With Me.
Mrs Boog is thrilled to see her book in a store.
"You wait all your life for it to finally happen and when it does it's a bit unbelievable but feels so good," she said.
The author has dedicated her first book to her mother who called her daughter "dream princess" because of her storytelling.
