The cut line finished at +5 over and two-time defending champion Meghan MacLaren just managed to scrape in and ensure the chance of three successive titles, while unlikely, remains.
The biggest mover on Friday was Manon De Roey.
The Belgian lit up the course on the way to shooting -8 on the day.
De Loey finished the day at -9 overall, taking a two-shot lead into the weekend.
De Roey hit two eagles and five birdies during the scintillating round to take control at the midway point of the tournament.
"I made two eagles and that definitely helped," De Roey beamed while speaking to the Ladies European Tour website.
"Every putt I looked at I felt went in."

The narrow fairways brought a number of players undone but even when De Roey landed in the bunkers she had the answers.
The early leader on the day was Frenchwoman Agathe Sauzon.
Sauzon hit five under par on Friday and led at one point before finishing the day in a three-way share of second at -7.
"It was a bit tough at the beginning and I made good putts to save par and made putts when I had birdie chances," Sauzon said.
"I know I'm playing well. I played good last week [at the Ladies Australian Classic] but made mistakes so I'm confident and I just try to work on my routine and my processes and what I worked on during winter.
"For two-and-a-half months I didn't play a tournament and I worked on my technique and my swing. Last week it was quite hard to switch into game mode and get into the routine so I'm working to do it this week."
Sweden's Camilla Lennarth, who was the early clubhouse leader in round one, and Diksha Dagar of India are the other players at -7.
MacLaren managed to avoid the cut but the same can't be said for Steph Kyriacou.
Teen star Kyriacou made headlines all over the world when winning the Australian Ladies Classic in stunning fashion as an amateur last week but finished at +7 over at Dubbo.
Hometown hope Ella Murray also missed the cut, finishing at +22, but gained incredible experience while sharing the course with some of the world's best for two days.
