Over 200 attendees turned out at the Dubbo Regional Convention Centre on Thursday to hear experts talk about the challenges faced by health workers in the state's regions.
Organiser and introductory speaker New South Wales Ambulance Superintendent Stewart Clarke began the proceedings, before introducing a wide variety of speakers who held court on a number of topics.

Key Note Speaker Jamie Manning spoke about the experience of being a patient as a result of a massive car crash outside of Dubbo years previous, while NSW Ambulance Superintendent Laurence Ioannou spoke about his experience as a responder to the Grenfell Tower fire in London.
"What it's all about is bringing focus to, and putting under the spotlight, all the great work that our regional paramedics do," Superintendent Clarke said.
"It also provides these regional paramedics with the opportunity to hear about different cases, to learn off each other and from the academics at Charles Sturt and Sydney University."
Superintendent Clarke said that he hoped bringing the conference out into regional areas would highlight some of the unique challenges that frontline health workers in remote areas face.
"We don't necessarily always get the same attention that our colleagues in the metropolitan areas do, but we provide care that's just as high quality in really challenging, remote environments," Superintendent Clarke said.
"Those challenges range from health infrastructure to the tyranny of distance and even just navigating through a regional environment and all the hazards that go with getting there, then you have to locate people in a timely way."
"It's really very challenging on a number of fronts and hopefully our colleagues see firsthand the challenges in the cases that our regional paramedics are confronted with."
Fifteen speakers held presentations at the event across a range of topics.
