The event will decide the three showgirls who will represent Zone 6 at the Sydney Royal Showgirl competition in April.
Former showgirl and 2019 state finalist Josie Anderson said it would be a busy day on Saturday for those taking part.
Each entrant will be interviewed by three judges.
Ms Anderson said it was a "jam packed day" with interviews starting at 8.30am and finishing at 5.30pm. From there, the showgirls will attend a black tie ball.
All of Dubbo will be cheering for Tyla Comerford to be presented with a sash.
"She has an incredible energy which she brings to our local committee and we wish her all the best. Tyla's study has allowed her to travel overseas and have exposure to a variety of agricultural industries which i think will be a great talking point for her," Ms Anderson said.
"She is such a humble person and has recently cut her hair for the children's variety charity, we couldn't be prouder of her efforts."
Having won at zone last year to be selected as a finalist, Ms Anderson said she remembers it as a day full of excitement and nerves.
"My family from Cobar and Sydney traveled to support me which gave me such a positive boost and I was also well support by the Dubbo Show Society," she said.
Ms Anderson said she wanted to make them proud because they had all invested a lot of time into her journey.
"The suspense was building during the announcement with the first two finalists sashed, there was only one left, they announced my name and i was so thrilled to be going through to Sydney, a dream come true," she said.
