Friday's Bathurst Gold Cup final may feature an incredibly high calibre of chasers but there's every chance the race will be overshadowed by something away from the track.

Recently retired cult hero Feral Franky will make an appearance at Kennerson Park on the night.
"He's making a guest appearance, to meet his fans one more time," Bathurst Greyhound Racing Club track manager Jason Lyne said.
"He won't actually be going round the track, but he'll be there for photos, cuddles and pats from anyone in the ground that wants to meet him."
That would be enough to draw a crowd, but the staging of the final of the Gold Cup is set to make it a meeting to remember.

Million Dollar Chase winner Good Odds Harada headlines the field and he's out to take the crown which was won by Dubbo trainer Charmaine Roberts and Caitlyn Keeping last year.
"The past few winners have been Group class dogs," Lynn said.
"Caitlyn Keeping won it last year, Miss Splendamiro won it the year before that. Falcon's Fury, he's run multiple Group finals. It's just a very good dogs race."
Lyne said expects Good Odds Harada - winner of the Million Dollar Chase final at Wentworth Park back in October - to be the dog to beat.
"He's definitely the one to beat, however, even though he's had the six races in the six box for six wins, it's probably not the best box for the field," he said.
"Solar Sky holds the line and the seven dog Shima Breeze came out like a Learjet on Monday but [Good Odds Harade] is a tenacious chaser.
"I could see him sitting second or third at worst coming into the first corner.
"I think the inside division of Nanjar Diva and Djay Holden will be the ones that might hold him out early but I think he'll take to the front down the back. It'll take some power to run him down.
"He was still the quickest qualifier even after he missed the start, lost a couple of lengths running with a few bumps. I think he'll be taking it out."
The final of Bathurst Gold Cup will be run at Kennerson Park from 8.44pm.
