The siblings were able to attend the program recently after receiving a rural scholarship.
Joe said he 'loved' attending the Summer School Program.
"I was able to perform in a bigger band that provided a more challenging repertoire and gave me a better understanding of coordination in a band environment," he said.
"I felt like I was a part of something big and powerful. It gave me confidence and joy to be a part of SYO Summer School."
The SYO Summer School runs every January, delivering a week-long holiday program to school-aged musicians.
The experience offers the students intensive orchestral experiences, access to professional conductors, and to the opportunity to a part of a performance at the grand final concert at the Sydney Conservatorium.
