The Dubbo Interagency handed over the cheque on Wednesday.
St Vincent de Paul Care and Support Centre volunteer Carol O'Connor said the money would be used to assist with the needs of drought-affected people in the Dubbo area. It will be used for a range of needs from paying bills to helping with medical expenses.
"There are a lot of people who have never had to ask for food or help before. They're the ones I really feel for," Ms O'Connor said.

Dubbo Interagency member Peter English said Vinnies was chosen as the donation recipient because drought affected every part of the region.
He said he thought it would be better for the money to be put to work, rather than sitting in a bank account.
For any organisations that wish to join the Dubbo Interagency, the group meets at 2pm every second Monday at the Dubbo Regional Council meeting rooms.
