A MAN has been charged after an alleged aggravated robbery of an elderly woman in Dubbo earlier this week.

About 1.30pm on Tuesday, a 74-year-old woman parked her silver Nissan Pulsar in a car park on Macquarie Street before she entered a number of shops and used an ATM.
At 2pm, she returned to her vehicle and observed a man to follow her.
As the woman went to place her shopping into the boot of her car, she was allegedly struck to the back of her head by a man.
A brief struggle ensued where the man took the car keys from the woman's hands before he entered the vehicle and allegedly drove from the scene in a northerly direction on Bligh Street.
As the man drove away, he allegedly reversed the car over the woman's feet, causing her to fall and hit her head on the roadway.

The 74-year-old was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics, where she was treated for a laceration to the back of her head, soreness to both her feet, legs and right shoulder and a black eye.
Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and pursued the vehicle for a short time. The pursuit was ceased due to the serious risk to the public as a result of the manner of driving by the man.
An investigation was commenced to identify the man by Orana Mid-Western detectives.
Following inquiries on Thursday , an off-duty police officer sighted the man police believed was involved in the robbery.
At 5.30pm, officers attended a business car park on Wingewarra and Bligh streets and arrested a 22-year-old.
Upon searching him, police allegedly located a large knife.
The man was taken to Dubbo police station where he also allegedly assaulted a constable, causing a minor laceration to his lip.
The 22-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery with wounding, two counts of police pursuit (drive dangerously), take and drive conveyance without consent, carry cutting weapon upon apprehension, assault police cause actual bodily harm and drive whilst disqualified.
He was refused bail by police to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Friday.
