Some of Dubbo's leading junior cyclists headed to Sydney on the weekend to compete in the second round of the National Junior Track Series.

Competing as part of the Western Regional Academy of Sport (WRAS) team the local riders contributed to the WRAS team being positioned in first place of the National series.
Dubbo and WRAS coach, Vaughn Eather was very impressed with the consistent results and effort put in by the local riders.

Isabelle Russel, Tyler Puzicha and Ben Anderson all sit in fourth place in their respective categories while Trent Hines and Zara Fuller performed strongly.
Meanwhile strong fields are returning to Victoria Park for club racing.
Last week saw riders from the Central Coast, Southern Highlands, Mudgee and Bathurst travel to compete against Dubbo riders.
The added competition saw record times recorded.
Tuesday night was no different. With every rider in A grade having earned a National Championship over the past few years, and B grade featuring riders with both National and World championships, there was some extremely fast racing on show.
It was however D grade that saw some of the clubs emerging stars on show.
Imogen Fuller, Makayla Fuller, Georgia Farr and Dash Aubusson Foley continue to compete at a very high standard.
They are all kept on their toes by some more senior D grade riders who continue to mentor the young riders and ensure all learn the essential skills.
Imogen and Makayla, spurred on by the results of big sister and newly crowned dual National Champion Haylee Fuller, are sure to make an impact as they step up to the U15 ranks.
Numbers are increasing for the Junior Development and Tiny Tots riders.

It is very possible this was the last night of racing on Victoria Park with the new facility nearing sign off.
Entries are now open for the Dubbo Track Carnival and U9 - U13 State Cycling Championships to be held on the 8th of February, those interested in competing or registering someone to compete can do so by following the link on Dubbo Cycle Club's Facebook page.
Entries close on February 2.
This is to be the first event at the new River St facility and large fields are anticipated.
