'Dancing Through the Ages' is a ballroom dancing event with a catered morning tea. No bookings required to attend.
The performance will take place at the Dubbo Regional Theatre Convention Centre across two hours, on Saturday, February 15, from 10 am to 12 pm.
Dubbo Regional Council's community development officer Christy White said the event was a celebration of more than 9000 seniors living in Dubbo, Wellington, Geurie and other communities in our region.
"The NSW Seniors Festival every year brings so many wonderful people together," Ms White said.
"Festival events in our region always put smiles on the faces of our seniors as they share stories and friendships."
Live music will be also be provided by the Tin Roof Big Band and ballroom dancing performers from Fantasy Dubbo DanceSport will be there.
"The musical talents of the Tin Roof Big Band and performances from the Fantasy Dubbo Dancesport will provide our seniors with the chance to dance, sing along to songs they know or relax and enjoy the delightful sounds and sights that the morning will bring," Ms White said.
The Tin Roof Big Band is a community ensemble with a wide-ranging repertoire of instrumental and vocal music playing genres including swing, blues and jazz.
Fantasy Dubbo Dancesport specialises in teaching and performing Modern Ballroom, Latin American, New Vogue, Zumba, West Coast Swing and Salsa dance styles.
