A 20-year-old Dubbo man, who had allegedly been carrying a "cutting-weapon", was arrested at a home on Alcheringa Street on Monday and has been charged following multiple break and enters and car theft in the Orana Region.

On Saturday evening, January 4, at 11.30pm, a group of men allegedly forced entry into a house located on Currawong Street, while the family were asleep inside the house, stealing a handbag containing loose change and keys to a house and car.
The trio allegedly stole a vehicle located outside of the property and drove to a service station on Whylandra Street where a purchase was made using a stolen credit card.
Around 3am, Sunday morning, police received reports of a car doing burnouts at a field on East Street, prior to a vehicle being set on fire.
A man was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with entering a vehicle without consent of owner/occupier, entering enclosed land not premises without lawful excuse, entering land commit indictable offence, larceny, aggravated break and enter dwelling in company intended to steal, stealing motor vehicle, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, dishonestly to obtain financial advantage by deception, damage property by fire, aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, and carry a cutting weapon upon apprehension.
The man appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday, where he was refused bail, and ordered to appear in Dubbo Local Court again on Wednesday, March 11.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing and police are seeking to speak with two males who may be able to assist in further inquiries.
They are described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, in their late teens with slim builds, approximately 165cm tall and with dark hair.
