As mentioned, the fast bowler owns fifteen of the 75 wickets CYMS have taken throughout the competition so far and despite a recurrent issue with stepping over the line, the CYMS quick has put up some impressive numbers throughout the seven matches he's seen.
Taking 6/35 in his very first chance with the ball in CYMS' opening round defeat of Rugby, Edmunds has the best single innings bowling performance of anyone on the leaderboard and no-ball, front foot transgressions aside, has done so in more efficient form than the Hornets' Coles.
While Coles deservedly holds the second spot with his fifteen wicket haul over the first eight rounds, doing so in nine less overs than Edmunds, third placed CYMS skipper Ben Knaggs also has a certain claim to bowling nous.
The man in charge of the Cougars has turned in almost as many wickets as the top two, sitting on fourteen, and has done so in under 50 overs, 25 fewer than team-mate Edmunds with an impressive 4/8 as his best single innings performance and a 13 run concession average for every wicket he's taken.
Despite CYMS occuppying two of the top three spots, it's Macquarie Cricket Club leading the competition in wickets taken, with Joseph Haylock the highest ranked man in blue with 14 wickets.
