Dubbo Golf Club will become one of 37 golf clubs in NSW to contribute to the effort on Monday, with professional Craig Mears saying the club has long supported the Cancer Council.
"It's for a great cause, the club has been associated with the cancer council for quite some time now and the longest day's a great initiative to raise awareness for people to be sun safe aware."
$1,050,331 in funds has already been raised by other clubs across the country and Mears is optimistic that the Dubbo golf club's event will be successful too.
"We hope we're going to get a few turning up and participating, we've participated with the Cancer Council for a number of years with out sunscreen blocks and such."
"We're just hoping everyone turns up and enjoys the day."
Mears encouraged all looking to attend and compete to bring plenty of water, and come prepared for a full day of golfing.
