Western Zone Academy coach Greg Rummans said both sides - the 16s and 14s respectively - are showing the promise implied by their pedigree in the lead-up.
"They're both looking very good. I'm really happy with them, especially the 14s, it's a team chock full of character," Rummans said.
"Both teams are very strong, I'd say the 16s are probably the stronger batting side," Rummans said.
"They've got some good players with Koda Sissian and Cooper Brien from Bathurst, it's a very strong lineup.
"They'll have to work on their bowling, but there's some really good prospects with guys like Mac Webster, he's really coming along this year.
"Our spinners will be a big help. George Cumming, Anthony Atlee and Harry Bayliss are all very strong, but they'll have their work cut out for them."
The under 16s will also be bringing plenty of high level experience to their Bradman Cup campaign, with a number of the side's best players having already enjoyed success at senior club and representative levels.
"In all sorts of areas, that'll help them out. The Dubbo guys are playing first or second grade, which is good," Rummans said.
"Tom Coady, Campbell Watts, Kody Sissian and Anthony Atlee. They're all pretty well entrenched in first grade sides now and Lawson Shepherd has been pretty well entrenched in Rugby for a while now.
"Cooper Brien and George Cumming have both done very well for themselves and their clubs in Bathurst and Orange and Harry Bayliss has been doing some great stuff over in Parkes."
"There's six this year that are playing Green Shield in Sydney, which is probably the highest percentage of players we've had representing there ever and there could easily have been more."
The 14s have only had one training session so far but are already impressing Rummans.
"They're so eager to learn and to do things for each other," he said.
"I haven't been involved in a team that has higher character traits across the board, they're all there for the team.
"That character was a big consideration in the selection process and they're looking really good, strong batsmen, strong fast bowlers and two really high quality leg spinners that I'd expect to make the next step."
Rummans also indicated that further representative berths would be in both team's futures.
"It's going to be a tough job for the country selectors to put state challenge teams together," he said.
Both squads will be in action in early January.
