Since July 1, council has approved 243 DAs. In total, they're worth an estimated $54.3 million.
During the first quarter of the financial year in 2018 there were 278 DAs approved worth a combined, estimated total of $87.5 million.
The applications are also down for October alone.

Council approved 66 DAs during the month, whereas there were 75 given the green light in October 2018. But the value of the applications in October 2019 was almost double the figure from the year before.
In October 2019 they were worth $14.7 million, while in 2018 it was $7.6 million.
The higher figure included an application for an office building worth $1 million, two retail buildings worth just more than $1 million and three factories worth $1.5 million.
The largest number of DAs that month was for single dwellings at 21, followed by 16 for garages or carports and 11 for swimming pools.
Council also approved four DAs for duel occupancy dwellings.
