A man has been charged with drug supply offences after methylamphetamine, also known as the drug ice, and cannabis were allegedly found during a vehicle stop near Walgett.

About 6.45pm on Tuesday stopped a vehicle on the Castlereagh Highway, 10 kilometres south of Walgett.
When police were speaking with occupants of the Holden Commodore station wagon, a 31-year-old male passenger allegedly produced a backpack from the passenger footwell which contained cannabis leaf and other drug paraphernalia.
Police conducted a vehicle and person search, during which a quantity of the drug ice was allegedly located in the man's shoe.
The 31-year-old man was arrested and taken to Walgett Police Station where he was charged with two drug dealing offences.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Walgett Local Court on November 12.
Central North Police District Commander Superintendent Andrew Hurst said the arrest stemmed from information provided by the community.
