Club veteran Ben Strachan matched brother Lachlan's first day offering in order to put his side well ahead; putting up a half-century and scoring 51 runs before being bowled out by Rugby captain Jacob Hill on his 99th turn in front of the wickets.

Strachan sent nine balls to the boundary during the effort, serving up eight fours and one six.
Gilbert Chaseling, Jake Settree and Ben O'Donnell each added two runs before being dismissed, with Settree and Chaseling both being bowled out LBW by Ben Rosenbaum and Adam Richards respectively.
Patrick Nelson added three more runs before being caught out by Glenn Shepherd, finishing the game going 187 - 9 to Rugby's 143 runs.
CYMS will next face Souths on October 26.
