Funding for major projects from state and federal governments is always met with excitement from those that are receiving the money, well, nearly always.
The River Street bridge funding is substantial.
But Dubbo MP Dugald Saunders is concerned constant media reports of opposition to the River Street will cause Dubbo to lose funding for the project.
Former Independent state candidate Mathew Dickerson says there is enough public concern about the bridge for the government to reexamine its plans, whilst the council just flat out opposes it.
What do you think?
In court this week a Dubbo man who bought a teenage girl a teddy bear and stuffed a sex toy inside it has pleaded guilty to seven counts of sexual intercourse with a child.
Whilst these cases are never easy to report on or read, we will keep bringing them to you because you have a right to know what is going on in your city, even if it is not pleasant.
On a happier note, give our story on Dubbo's Annette Ferguson a read. She has not let blindness stand in the way of her love of graphic design; it's a lovely read.
As always thank you for subscribing and supporting quality local journalism, we appreciate it immensely.
Kind regards,
