After taking a break for the cooler months, the attraction has three nights of movies planned for next month.
The gates will open on October 5 for a double feature with E.T. and Yesterday, with a two-for-one ticket deal.
The event coincides with the 49th birthday of the Westview, one of the few remaining drive-in cinemas operating in NSW.
The icon was closed for more than 30 years, before its revival started in 2017.
Organisers are hoping the double feature proves popular with locals and visitors to the city alike on the Saturday night of the long weekend.
Often there were the tourists who came to go to Taronga Western Plains Zoo and the Old Dubbo Gaol, but the drive-in was an extra attraction, a drive-in spokesman said.
"We feel the drive-in offers that thing for people to do and would keep people in Dubbo overnight," he said.
"We're hoping those visitors who come into town on the long weekend will come out and experience the drive-in in the bush."
Two weekends later the drive-in will open again as part of the DREAM Festival.
Saturday October 19 has been dubbed "Girls Night Out" and will see Dirty Dancing show on the big screen.
Organisers said women had been a huge base of support since the drive-in re-opened.
"We're calling it the 'Girls Night Out' and we're hoping the girls will get all their friends together and come out... and we can forget about some of the other things that are going on around us," the spokesman said.
On Sunday October 20 the Westview will play host to students at an event to launch the What YOUth Can Do Festival of Skills.
Festival students and teachers, along with the general public, will be treated to new animation Abominable.
The spokesman made special mention of the volunteers giving the revival their time and energy.
"...without the volunteers that come out and get involved it wouldn't be able to happen," he said.
"And we would like people to come out not just to support the drive-in, but to support those people from all sorts of areas, walks of life who volunteer their time to come out and get involved."
