The segments feature a Dubbo and District Family History Association member or guest speaker who shares their family history with an audience.
Last Friday Nola Walters - DDFHS member and very experienced and clever family history researcher - told the story of her great-great-grandmother Mary-Ann Paskin, who was sent to Tasmania as a convict.
Mary-Ann had eleven children, collected a number of names and had a long and hard life.
Ms Walters spoke about some of the experiences she has been able to learn about over many years of researching Mary-Ann.
Share your Story is held on the third Friday of every month from 2 pm at the Community Arts Centre.
Next month's speaker on October 18 will be Graeme Hosken who has recently had his book published. The book was written on Adelong.
