A second-placed finish at a Mendooran non-TAB meeting might not have been the most eye-catching of form, but it proved strong enough for So Good To Me on Monday.

The Clint Lundholm-trained mare took out the final event on the card at Orange's Towac Park on Monday, surging to the front at the top of the straight and going on to score by half-a-length.
Anthony Cavallo produced a fine ride on the way to winning for the Dubbo trainer, and said the last-start result didn't tell the full story.
"She probably should have won and got caught in behind them and we fell into a good sport and tracked up and then moved up into a good spot when we wanted to," he told Sky Thoroughbred Central after the Angullong Wines Class 1 Handicap (1600m) win.
"That race wasn't that strong today and it panned out well. When people can't see replays of non-TAB races they can't see what went wrong or what happened but she's racing well and that's the main thing."

Lundholm agreed, adding another recent placing at Gilgandra and fourth at Narromine had So Good To Me primed to strike at Orange.
"She's obviously been in the weaker form but it's hard enough to win a race anywhere and she ran into a little bi of bad luck at Mendooran last start and we brought her here today knowing she'd be a great chance," the trainer said.
"She was fit and ready to win."
So Good To Me wasn't too popular with the punters prior to the race as she drifted out to a $5.50 chance, and when the event began Cavallo settled third after getting away well from gate eight.
Quirion ($41) and $3.10 favourite Shebrings Luck set the early pace and the pair moved two lengths clear of the field approaching the turn for home.
So Good To Me tracked up on the outside of the leaders and took control and despite some pressure fought on to win from Austreet ($6) and Imanacheeva ($5).
So Good To Me now has a record of two wins and five placings from 15 career starts.
Ten of those starts have come this preparation and Lundholm said he'll keep the four-year-old in work.
