A 35-year-old woman has been charged after an 88-year-old man was allegedly hit by a car in Warren last week.

Police said at about 3.40pm on September 11, the man was standing in the carpark area of an aged care facility when he was hit by a reversing vehicle.
The woman driver allegedly stopped briefly and failed to render assistance to the man before she drove off from the carpark.
Police said the man sustained a large wound to his left leg and was taken to Warren Hospital for surgery.

The woman was arrested in Dubbo on September 12.
Police charged her with failing to stop and assist after a vehicle impact caused grievous bodily harm and and another grievous bodily harm offence.

The woman's licence was suspended and she was granted conditional bail to attend Dubbo Local Court on November 11.
