A burst of heat at the start of September is set to be repeated.
On Friday the Bureau of Meteorology was forecasting above-average maximum temperatures until next Thursday.

Daytime temperatures will range from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius in the period.
Thursday will be the hottest day when the temperature is predicted to get to 32 degrees.
Minimum temperatures will be above average from Monday to Thursday, ranging from eight to 10 degrees.
The average top temperature for Dubbo in September is 21.3 degrees and average minimum six degrees.
Not a drop of rain has officially fallen at Dubbo this month.
The bureau's forecast for this week suggests that won't change.
Average rainfall for Dubbo in September is 42.8 millimetres (mm).
The bureau recorded a total of 6.8mm of rain at Dubbo in August, 6.4mm in July, 10.4mm in June and 23.4mm in May.
The automatic weather station at Dubbo City Regional Airport did not record any rain in April.
