The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a week of searing sunshine.
The heat will start on Tuesday when it's expected to read a maximum of 27 degrees. From there it will climb to 29 on Wednesday and 31 on Thursday.
If you're heading out west the temperature will be even higher with a maximum of 33 degrees predicted in Bourke on Thursday and 35 in Walgett and Brewarrina.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
On Friday the mercury in Dubbo will start to dip again, dropping to a maximum of 25 degrees, followed by 20 on Saturday and 19 on Sunday.
There's only a slight chance of showers with a ten per cent chance of rain on Friday and Saturday.
It was one of the driest winters on record for the region, and BoM head of long-range forecasting Andrew Watkins said widespread rainfall is unlikely during Spring.
"Unfortunately, the outlook is not indicating an easing of conditions in drought areas," Dr Watkins said.
"But a drier than average outlook is not an outlook for no rain at all. Significant rainfall events are always possible, so it's important to keep a close eye on the seven-day forecast."
Dr Watkins said warmer than average days and nights were expected for the next three months.
