The National Association For Loss and Grief (NALAG) will host Dubbo's 'Walk Towards Hope' annual event to further promote suicide awareness, prevention and support.
The annual community event involves a walk across the iconic LH Ford Bridge, a Remembering Ceremony, a barbeque lunch and sporting a commemorative t-shirt.
The event, which occurs in the same week as World Suicide Prevention Day, will encourage conversations about suicide and aim to generate further community discussion and action towards suicide prevention.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Walk Towards Hope.
Talking openly about suicide and showing those at risk that we care, empowers them to speak up and ask for help.
Participants will gather in Dubbo at Bob Jane T-Marts in Macquarie Street at 11 am to start the walk.
