The circus' experience in Australia got off to a shaky start after two performers, stunt bike rider Bentang Sejarah, and aerial performer Gabby Souza, both faced severe injuries from separate incidents that occurred during a show in South Australia.
Despite the unfortunate events, Circus Rio has continued to prosper, and performers say they can't wait to see the tents up and ready for the first show.
The gates will open for the show this Wednesday, August 28, from 7 pm at Ollie Robbins Oval.
According to Circus Rio crew members, this will be a performance you won't want to miss.
"Our performer combination is sure to delight all families of Dubbo, - there's something for everyone," Circus Rio clown Will said.
"We have a team of over 30 world-renowned performers hailing from Brazil, Russia, Great Britain, Spain and Ukraine come together in this colourful carnival for the entire family - grandparents to toddlers.
"We love the weekend shows the most.
"They're our favourite shows because we get to meet all the kids after the show.
"We're eager to see the locals of Dubbo wrapped up in the magic."
The international Circus Rio crew say they enjoy visiting some of the country's most unique towns, like Dubbo, the most.
Beyond the Circus Rio centre stage, they have a café, and amusement park to keep kids young and old occupied before the show and during intermission.
Circus Rio encourages fans to show them the best spots to visit in Dubbo via social media using the hashtag #riotakesdubbo and share your photos of the circus using hashtag #circusrio.
