Dubbo Show Society says its Riverside Markets has "run its course" and it will pursue other activities to raise funds.

The show society announced this week its monthly market day had ceased operation after 38 years.
The last event took place in July.
Held to help stage the annual Dubbo Show, the activity had moved from the showground to Ollie Robbins Oval six years ago.
Despite the long tradition, the show society secretary Sue Hood reported times had changed, and interest from stallholders and the general public had decreased.
"It's run its course," Mrs Hood told the Daily Liberal.
The show society just thanks the community for its support over the 38 years.

The event held on the second Sunday of every month had contributed to the staging of the annual Dubbo Show by the not-for-profit organisation.
"It's helped, you used to have to go out and get the sponsorship, or when sponsorship gets hard to get, you sort of have the market days to fall back on, but now we won't have that..." Mrs Hood said.
In its place the show society is looking at other fundraising avenues.
The committee was doing some catering for breed shows and holding sausage sizzles at a local business, Mrs Hood said.
Plans were afoot to hold a market as part of the National Shearing Competition, which the show society is staging on November 29 and 30.

The organisation expressed its appreciation to the public.
"The show society just thanks the community for its support over the 38 years," Mrs Hood said.
"We can't do anymore but extend our thanks to them."
