Meaningful minutes in pre-season, learning from a highly-respected coach who played in his own position, endearing himself to the Perth Glory faithful, and, of course, getting his hands on Paul Pogba's jersey.
It's been a bit of a whirlwind after the Glory nabbed the Dubbo junior on a one-year deal on July 1 following a string of promising showings for Sydney FC last season.
Tratt played nine games for the Sky Blues after signing midway through the season due to a number of injuries in defence.
He was a useful figure for coach Steve Corica and he's now determined to take his game to the next level at Glory, where he's working under Asian Champions League winning coach and former Socceroo Tony Popovic.
The former Dubbo Devils junior says he's already learnt "so much" working under Popovic and his assistant Hayden Foxe, another former Australian centre-back, and it's been clear to see that in his encouraging pre-season showings.
Tratt scored on his debut when Perth downed Baywater 3-0 and he also scored with another trademark header in a friendly win over Western Australia.
But one of the biggest moments of his career came when he caught the eye during the glamour pre-season clash with Manchester United.
"I was lucky enough to have my family come over for it," Tratt said to the Glory's official website when discussing the 2-0 friendly loss to the English giants last month.
"It was good to spend the time with them and enjoy the day leading up to the game.
"Then Manchester United, being my dream club it was an honour to play against them and the calibre of players they have.
It was a good experience all-round, the whole I day I very much enjoyed."
The experience was made even more special when at full-time Tratt was able to swap jerseys with French superstar Paul Pogba.
World Cup winner Pogba was the most expensive footballer on the planet when he joined Premier League powerhouse Manchester United from Italian side Juventus in 2016, and Tratt said his jersey will soon be framed and on the wall at his new home in Scarborough.

While the thrill of taking on the likes of Pogba was something Tratt won't forget, his focus is on improving his game and helping the Glory go one step better in 2019/20 after losing last season's decider to Sydney FC.
"Being a central defender, I just wanted to learn the ropes under Tony," Tratt said of his motivation for join Perth.
"There's a lot in my game I feel I needed to work on and I felt he would be the man to teach me. That was one of the biggest reasons.
"I wanted to learn and develop the defensive side of my game so to be coached by him and 'Foxey', in the first couple of weeks I've learnt so much already. I'm very, very happy."
He's also not ruling out the chance of a few more goals this year, too, after keeping up his record of scoring in his first appearance for clubs.
"When there's a set-piece I feel confident enough I can score or get an opportunity to I've been lucky in a few debuts I've had to score," he said.
