About 90 people in Dubbo took part in Dry July. It's a campaign that encourages people to give up alcohol for the month, while getting sponsored by their loved ones.
In total, those who registered under the 2830 postcode raised $17,927.
This year was the biggest Dry July campaign ever. More than $10 million was raised during the month.

Dry July CEO Brett Macdonald said he was thrilled with the support received this year.
"To hit such an incredible milestone means we can fund even more cancer care programs, crucial for helping patients, their families and carers across the country," he said.
"We wouldn't be able to do what we do without ongoing dedication and fundraising of everyone that takes part and donates."
The major beneficiaries from the 2019 Dry July are: Cancer Council, Leukaemia Foundation, Look Good Feel Better, McGrath Foundation, Prostate Cancer Foundation and Redkite.
The highest fundraiser for the year was Brett Cook at more than $44,000. He was fundraising for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
"Both of my grandfathers were affected by prostate cancer and unfortunately one was taken from us too soon," he said.
"As someone who is known for enjoying a drink, particularly when I'm at the races, I knew taking part in Dry July was going to be a challenge for me."
