The ladder-leading Fishies were made to work for the entire 80 minutes before scraping past the Parkes Spacemen at Pioneer Oval, while the Tigers ran rampant at Larkin Oval and crushed the Narromine Jets by 74 points.
CYMS' win means the minor premiership is wrapped up, and while top spot is confirmed the men in green and white have not had it all their own way in recent weeks.
The side only got past Forbes by six points last round, before holding off a spirited Parkes 18-16 on Sunday.
After going into the sheds all-square at 10-all, the Fishies trailed a motivated Spacemen outfit before eventually triumphing late on.

CYMS sits four points clear of second-placed Wellington on the ladder, but the side will receive full points in the final round following the removal of Dubbo Westside from Group 11.
Before then, Jarryn Powyer and his men need to get past an in-form Nyngan side.
After ending Wellington's winning streak last round, the Tigers dominated almost the entire 80 on Sunday.
The Justin Carney-coached side put the foot down in the first half and went at better than a point a minute on the way to leading 48-o at the break.
Things barely slowed in the second, with Carney, Ash Widders, Clynton Edwards, and Brad Clavering all scoring doubles in the lopsided victory.
The win also strengthened Nyngan's hold on third spot on the ladder.
"I'm pleased with the boys and how they held themselves together," Carney said at full-time.
"There's a few things we've got to get right, but it's all well and good going into next week so we've just got to look forward to that."
