The second of two sessions that aimed to support female members of the industry was held on July 24.
A partnership between The Exchange and commercial builder North Construction and Building, the pair was looking to the future with optimism in the wake of the event.
"We are so amazed at the response that we have had from our Women in Construction Program," The Exchange community manager Minna Demetriou said.
"If we have learned anything out of this process, it is that it was about time that something like Women in Construction was created in the region."
The second event, "yet another success", heard from "incredibly engaging speakers" Belinda Crosbie from Morrissey Law & Advisory and Lachlan Meurer from Service NSW.
"It was extremely rewarding to sit back, and witness a community being created amongst the attendees," Ms Demetriou said.
"Although the Women in Construction program was only a two-session event, the feedback from this program has suggested that this could be developed into an ongoing program.
"We encourage anyone in the community to reach out to us at The Exchange to let us know what their ideas are and what they would like the future of Women in Construction program to look like."
The Exchange thanked North Construction, whose managing director Matthew Cook attended both sessions.
"We have loved being a part of the Women in Construction series with The Exchange in Dubbo," he said.
"To not only support those women in the industry in this region, but also to engage more women who choose construction as a career is a fundamental perception that needs to change.
"The industry can do more to recognise training, support and opportunities for women in construction and as a business this is something we really look forward to building on with our presence in regional NSW."
