Narromine Jets take on Nyngan Tigers
Nyngan, July 28
The Narromine Jets will travel to Nyngan to take on the Tigers at Larkin Oval. The Jets defeated the mighty Tigers on home soil in round one of the Group 11 competition, which ensures the game will be a thriller as the orange pack look to return the favour on Sunday. Main game will kick off at about 3pm.
Australian Road Rescue Championships
Dubbo, July 25-28
Dubbo will host more than 300 emergency service agencies personnel from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and England, as they gather at the local showgrounds for the 2019 Australian Road Rescue Championships. The event is run by the Australasian Road Rescue Organisation (ARRO), in conjunction with Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW State Emergency Service. The four-day event, the first day being a team meet and greet, is free to the public.
Beat the Breakdown
Trangie and Narromine, July 26-27
Nine walkers will be taking to the local roads, walking 77 kilometres over two days for men and women's mental health organisation Beat the Breakdown. Day one will see walkers trecking from Collie to Trangie, and day two will involve walking from Trangie to Narromine. You can join the walkers on day one to celebrate their first stretch at the Trangie Imperial for beers, meat raffles, an auction and barbeque from 6pm. If you can't make it to Trangie you can catch the walkers at the Narromine Gorillas' home game on July 27. All donations from the event and to Beat the Breakdown go toward providing mental health programs within the shire for both men and women.
Redbacks will battle with the Magpies
Wellington, July 27
The Wellington Redbacks Rugby Union club will host a semi-final game at Bicentennial Park this weekend against the Molong Magpies in the Oilplus Cup.
Orana Country Music Association
Dubbo, July 28
This free event will be held in the Dubbo RSL Entertainment Lounge. It will see members of the Orana Country Music Association pull out their guitars and play for the people.
