The boys won six matches in the competition, with only one loss coming by way of the Orange Football club, who downed Dubbo in a nail-biting 2 - 1 result.
Coach Daniel Gilholme said that it's always difficult for country teams to compete in the metro, but was very proud of the efforts of the Dubbo side.
":Competition was very tough, being a lot of metropolitan teams, they train anywhere from three to four times a week and play two or three times a weekend," Gilholme said.
"Our boys played outstanding."
"The whole squad were standouts, the team really came together," Gilholme said.
"They've been building together since September last year, they're good mates and they play for each other and it's a deserved achievement in recognition of all the hard work and effort they've put in for themselves and each other."
Gilholme gave special mention to members of the coaching staff, and the parents who had supported the team for making the win possible.
"Patrick Auld's been by my side since we took these boys on, we've been developing boys in this age group for about four years now and he deserves a mention."
"A huge thanks to all the parents for their commitment, it's a big effort to get down there."
