The world-travelled artist will bring his six strings and soulful lyricism to the Commercial for a free night-time show on Thursday May 30 at 8pm.
Hailing from Brogo in NSW just north of Bega, the folk artist honed his craft from an early age when he was inspired by his father's musical talents.
"My initial influence was from my dad, who's a musician, my first memory was of watching him rehearse with his band in the backyard," Mr Champagne said.
Picking up his first guitar at just five years of age, Daniel went on to train classically in his teens and began writing songs at age 12.
"I learnt classically from a variety of teachers, then as a teenager I saw a lot of experimental guitar players and since then it's just gradually changed, picking up what i can from other artists and adapting it for me."
By age 18, he'd honed his talents to a point where he felt comfortable leaving school to purse music as a profession and began touring across the world and his native Australian homeland.
Across his career, Champagne has taken his folk stylings to venues across America, Europe, the United Kingdom and New Zealand, as well as playing at festivals in California, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Australia's own Falls Festival and Byron Bay's Bluesfest.
In his time as a touring act, Champagne has shared the stage with acclaimed performers like John Butler, KT Tunstall and INXS.
Commercial Hotel Dubbo Licensee Ben Lawler was excited to have such an international artist visit for a performance.
"We are really looking forward to having some one of Daniel's calibre perform here in Dubbo," Mr Lawler said.
"He is a very talented musician and we hope locals take advantage of the opportunity to see him perform live in a relaxed environment at the Commercial."
Champagne currently has a growing collection of records in his repertoire, including his two inaugural EPs 'Gypsy Moon' Volumes 1 and 2 and his recently released album 'Fault Lines'.

Champagne's current tour will be one of the most extensive Australian tours of his career, building on his previous success touring up and down the coasts of his homeland.
"I'm really excited about being in Dubbo for the first time and playing for people who probably haven't experienced this kind of music before and will hopefully get to see something new," Mr Champagne said.
