Discovery Park's new managers Tim Campion and Sadie Cannane have only been in Dubbo a week and a half, but they've already received a warm welcome from some of the park's regulars during their first Biggest Morning Tea.

The event, held by the Cancer Council on Thursday May 23 this year, is the organisation's most popular fundraising event, raising over $11 million in support of cancer research last year.
The funds raised are used for cancer prevention strategies, research and support services for patients undergoing treatment.

"I have to give credit to our staff member Shelly, she organised all this before we got here, so she's an amazing, amazing employee," Ms Cannane said.
"She organises a lot of things like this for the park and so we're very lucky to have her here."
"It's been lovely, we've had a great contingency from the council and it's lovely to have all our guests get together for a good cause and say 'g'day'."
Ms Cannane said she was grateful to see the community coming together in the caravan park.
"It's lovely to have everyone do this sort of thing, it's very important."
This year, the cancer council are hoping to raise well over $13 million in donations from the Biggest Morning Tea, with events being held throughout May and June to support the effort.
