From flowers to home-made cards, breakfast in bed and gifts, there are many ways we say thanks to our mums.
The big day is Sunday, May 12 and if you're in Dubbo this weekend are looking for something to do, why not check out the many events being held throughout the city.

Food:
- The Garden Hotel is hosting a Mother's Day lunch on the Sunday from 11:30am to 2pm and will also include live music from 1pm to 5pm, plus a hamper raffle.
- The Western Districts Memorial Park will hold a morning tea with refreshments served adjacent to the chapel between 8am to 12pm.
- Dundullimal Homestead will host a high tea in celebration of Mother's Day from 2pm to 4pm.
- If you're feeling a little wild, why not visit the Dubbo Zoo for it's Champagne Buffet Breakfast from 9am to 11am.
- For those with an appetite, check out The Red Barrel's 'Mothers Day All You Can Eat Tasting Table' from 2pm.
- Lazy River Estate is open for lunch from 12pm to 4pm, which includes a delicious buffet lunch.
Drink:
- For older children who want to do something different this year for their mum why not head to The Establishment Bar for it's first ever Gin High Tea.As well as sweets and cocktails available from 2pm to 4pm, there will also be live music.
- The South Dubbo Tavern is also putting on a special afternoon for Mum's from 2;30pm with live music. Mum's will also receive a complimentary glass of bubbles for dining.
Things to do:
- The Dubbo Riverside Markets will be held this Sunday and is the perfect opportunity to spend the morning with your Mum while you purchase a range of produce plus arts and craft. The markers are held at Ollie Robbins Oval starting at 8:30am.
Music:
- For all the musical families, The Tap Pack is coming to the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre for a special performance at 2:30pm.
- The Dubbo Country Music Association will host its monthly country hoedown in the entertainment lounge at the Dubbo RSL at 2pm.
