Mayor of the Dubbo Region Ben Shields expressed his disappointment at recent acts of vandalism.
"I can't put into words how frustrating this is," Cr Ben Shields said.
Cr Shields reminds the community that the Council offers a reward of up to $2500 for information leading to the conviction of any person who has committed wilful damage or theft of Council property.
In February Council announced one million dollars for more shade for parks and playgrounds across the city.
"I am very nervous to invest our rate payer's money into more shade structures if this is the way they're going to be treated. I am calling on all residents of the region to take ownership and pride in the assets that are installed to improve our region," Clr Shields said
The shade sails were installed in 2015 and have been vandalised and removed four (4) times at an estimated cost of $25,000 each time they are destroyed.
