Organised by volunteers from the Orana Residents of Indian Sub-Heritage (ORISCON) group and the Western Plains Cultural Centre, the event attracted guests from as far away as Broken Hill and Brisbane.
ORISCON representative Mano Manorathan said the event has gone from strength to strength.
"When we started four years ago we had 250 people attend so last night [with 1,000 attendees] was huge," he said.
"The delicious food and variety of stalls were big attractions, as well as the entertainment."
Mr Manorathan said he was pleased to see Member-elect for Dubbo Dugald Saunders and mayor Ben Shields attend.
"It's very heartening to see positive interactions between migrants and the non-migrant community," he said.
"We look forward to an even bigger and better Festival next year."
