Trained at Dubbo by Cindy Monaghan for herself and Tim Moses, the nine-year-old Quietly Confident ($11) travelled at the tail of the field before finishing strongly to beat Mum's The Word (Greg Ryan, $1.90 favourite) by a nose with Drummed Out (Jake Pracey-Holmes, $5.50) a half length away third in the 1200 metres Golden Fleece Producers Benchmark 58 Handicap.
Second leg of the Stephane Joseph double was Mango Liston ($3 equal fav) which took the lead from Eurodane at the top of the straight then held on to win the Warren and District Merino Studs Class 1 Handicap (1400m) in a close finish from Our Lady Violet (Greg Ryan, $3 equal favourite) and Tropicana Lass (Ashley Morgan, $6.50).
Mango Liston is trained by Rodney Robb for the two 'Wendys', Wendy Robb, the trainer's wife, and Wendy Robb, the secretary of Nyngan Jockey Club.
Wellington trainer Michael Mulholland also had a winning double at Warren, Reward Seeker in the Quigley Farms Maiden Handicap (1400m) and Butter Toast in the Western Sheep Breeders Benchmark 50 Handicap Over 1600 metres.
Debut maker Reward Seeker (Daniel Pitomac, $15) came from last for a two lengths win over Barsan (Greg Ryan, $4.60) and Our Annamarie (Rhiannon Payne, $8.50) while Butter Toast (Jake Pracey-Holmes, $4.40) set the pace and lasted to beat Podium Bound (Ken Dunbar, $4.40) by a head with Happy Partner (Tiffany Jeffries, $6.50) a close third.
Having only the second start in a race, the Ian Holland, Coonamble trained 4yo gelding Boult was impressive when winning the Troon Grazing Maiden Plate (1000m) with James Rogers, formerly from England, in the saddle.
Switched around the leaders heels, Boult ($26) finished quickly to score by nearly two lengths from Haven't We All (Kacie Chater, $31) and Cool Sea (Jake Pracey-Holmes, $3 fav.).
A last start winner at Tottenham Picnics, the Sharon Jeffries, Parkes trained Maria Elisa was well ridden by Sharon's daughter Tiffany Jeffries to win the Nevertire Hotel Class 2 Handicap (1000m) at Warren.
Spearing along the rails to take the early lead in a big field, Maria Elisa ($9) held on well to win by a half length from Northern Conqueror ($10) and Dart Street (Ashley Morgan, $11) in the final event at the meeting which attracted a good crowd.
