She reports of warm air moving ahead of a low pressure trough affecting much of NSW on Saturday and Sunday, or Sunday and Monday, "depending on where you are".
Forecast maximum temperatures for Dubbo on Saturday and Sunday are 35 and 36 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The temperatures almost replicate the heat of Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10, but are a world away from last Sunday's 22 degrees.
Ms Westcott has advised against changing over wardrobes.
"There's a good chance you don't need to get out the jumpers just yet," she said.
"In saying that, it is not unusual for Dubbo to have a warm summer-like period as we move towards the end of March. That's actually quite common."
The average maximum temperature in Dubbo in March is 28.9 degrees.

Ms Westcott has reminded residents that it got to about 39 degrees mid-March 2018.
The record maximum temperature for the month is 39.5 degrees, recorded on March 9, 2004.
"So it's not unusual to have this period where you are expecting it to start to cool down and it won't," the meteorologist said.
The looming heat will stick around in the early morning.
"I should also point out that overnight temperatures will also be a little on the uncomfortable side as we go into the early hours of Sunday morning," Ms Westcott said.
"It could still be in the twenties. Maybe don't put the fan away."
On Monday the temperature will drop to 30 degrees and on Tuesday 23 degrees with the help of a southerly wind.
Weatherzone reports of a 50 per cent chance of up to 5 millimetres (mm) of rain on Saturday and 60 per cent chance of the same amount of rain on Sunday.
On Monday there is an 80 per cent chance of up to 20mm falling.
On Wednesday morning a mere 5.4mm of rain had been collected at Dubbo City Regional Airport this month.
