Four development applications for retail buildings have been approved by Dubbo Regional Council, worth an estimated $20.2 million.

During February there were 41 applications given the tick of approval. Combined, they were worth $29.7 million.
It's about half the number that were approved in February 2018. During that month there were 80 applications council gave the go-ahead, however they were worth significantly less at $11.1 million.
As well as the four retail buildings approved in February, there were also 13 garages or carports, seven single dwellings and six swimming pools.

The month also saw a $1 million application for a child care centre approved, three residential subdivisions with a worth of $3.2 million and four warehouses or storage facilities at an estimated $2.1 million.
The child care facility - which the Hennessy Drive neighbours fought against - is expected to look after up to 100 children at a time and employ 13 staff.
When it comes to housing, for the financial year to February there have been 110 applications for single dwellings and another 21 for multi-unit housing, with a total of 61 units.
Between July 2018 and the end of February 2019, there have been 512 development applications green-lighted by council. All the applications have an estimated worth of $187.5 million.
The number of applications is down from the financial year before by 19, however the value of the applications is higher. From July 2017 to February 2018 the approved applications were worth $112.4 million.
