The event was a collaboration of different Dubbo groups including the Buninyong School as Community Centre, Uniting, and the Western NSW Local Health District.
Lorna Brennan said although International Women's Day is on Friday, the event was all about celebrating women of different ages and from different backgrounds.
Ms Brennan said there were also "empowering and enlightening" speakers who addressed the large number of attendees, including Tracy Hanna.

Ms Hanna spoke of her mental health and the way it had motivated her to raise money for charity.
There was also entertainment, henna tattoos, blood pressure-checks, makeup demonstrations, zumba, yoga and play areas for the children.
The International Women's Day event is held every year in Dubbo.
Ms Brennan said each year it continue to grow.
International Women's Day is held on March 8. It celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The theme for 2019 International Women's Day is #balanceforbetter. It aims to raise awareness of gender bias while encouraging everyone to take action for equality.
