Western Plains Cultural Centre curator Kent Buchanan said the exhibition was staged as part of the HomeGround exhibition.
The exhibition represents a great forest of branches and projecting moving elements like waterfalls, animals and birds.
"The viewers watch the forest grow around them through virtual reality and the shadows move," Mr Buchanan said.
"The exhibition really focuses on how forests are slowly disappearing and in the future, we may only be able to experience forests through virtual reality.
The Forest aims to submerge it's audiences, giving them a sense of being surrounded in ominous beauty.
The trees are overarching around you as you stare into the depth of the articulate exhibition, accompanied by recordings projected back into the installation.
Greg Pritchard is known for his diverse range of artwork and has worked with gaffer tape since 2006.
He is one of the few artists in the world who uses it in a figurative way, expressing his exhibitions in more a metaphorical way.
Greg's work causes his audience to explore their senses and to feel the art intuitively.
"If life is absurd, which it surely is, then it is necessary to illustrate it's absurdity," he said.
"The most effective way to do this, I have found, is through art, whether it be writing, visual art or performance.
"Music doesn’t work, it is the only thing that can convince you that life is not absurd.
The Forest is unique in scale, situated in a two week period and according to those with who have worked close with Greg Pritchard, the Forest is an experience which will open it's audience up in ways they probably haven't ever quite felt before, and definitely in a way which will infect you.
The exhibition will run at the centre until April 28.
