Orana Mid-Western Police are investigating the theft of several rail detonators from the rail crossing on the Mitchell Highway at Trangie.

Police allege the railway track signal detonators were stolen on Sunday between 7am and 3pm.
Narromine Police Sergeant Michael Smith is warning people there is significant risk if the detonators are used incorrectly.
The devices are used to warn people working on the railway track of approaching trains.
"These items are extremely dangerous and should only be handled by trained persons only," Sergeant Smith said.
"Mishandling detonators can cause them to explode and result in horrific injuries including the loss of fingers and eyesight.
"I would hate to see this happen to anyone in our community, especially in a younger person," he said.
The rail detonators are red, and similar in size to a tennis ball.
Police are advising members of the public if they locate these devices not to tamper with them or pick them up.
If anyone has any information about the theft or locates a device they are urged to immediately contact Narromine Police on 6889 144 or contact John Holland Rail depot in Dubbo on 1300 661 390.
Information is treated in strict confidence.
