The popular on-demand film streaming service Kanopy is now available for free for members of Macquarie Regional Library. Kanopy offers more than 30,000 of the world’s best films, including award-winning documentaries, rare and hard-to-find titles, film festival favourites, indie and classic films, and world cinema.

The Kanopy collection includes acclaimed films like The Dressmaker, indie hits like Hunt For the Wilderpeople and A Quiet Passion, and classic masterpieces like Charade and L'Avventura. Plus new titles are added every month.
All members need to do to get started streaming films for free is visit mrl.nsw.gov.au/efilms or download the Kanopy app.
Seniors Festival : Retirement Village Living talk
On Tuesday 19th February, 10.30 am – 11.30 am, Jessica Allan, Senior Solicitor at Legal Aid NSW will present a guide to retirement village living in New South Wales.
The session will include what you should know before entering into a contract, rights and obligations of both you and the operator, and what happens when you are ready to leave.

Book launch and author talk : Andrew Dunkley
Join local author Andrew Dunkley at Dubbo Library for the launch of his science fiction novel, Parallax. Parallax follows the life of Chris Parish, a down and out middle aged man who is mysteriously thrust back to his birth by a solar anomaly. He relives his life with all the knowledge he had already gained BUT he isn’t the only one and a strange new corporation, Parallax wants everything he knows.
This is Andrew's first foray into the sci-fi genre but it has always been his favourite kind of story. Wednesday, February 20 from 6pm.
